Swimming pool is extremely cloudy, aid please!? Our pool has been cloudy for a few days and you can't...
Our pool has been cloudy for a few days and you can't even see the bottom of the pool within the shallow end. It looks pretty disgusting and it's a pretty dark green. On Saturday I added 1gal of solution chlorine but forgot to check the levels, nothing happen. Today I checked the levels, Chlorine was high-ranking, pH was a tad high, Alkalinity be low, and CYA(whatever that is)was low. So I added Muratic Acid, Pool Perfect, and Powder Plus Shock Treatment. I poured them all into the skimmer because at the time it seemed similar to the best way to disperse the chemicals. It came fund through the Spa/Jacuzzi and waterfalled into the pool, and for a few minutes made bubbles. But now thinking, I think that be semi-retarded because that goes straight to the filter. What do you think and can you donate me advice on what to do if I've made a mistake?
Answers: NEVER add chemicals directly inn the skimmer. You want to "super chlorinate". It will take about three gallons. You probably also call for to backwash the filter after this, as the clearing process will create a ton of filtered debris contained by your filter. There are liquid polymers designed to clear water. It lone takes a few ounces. Use according to instructions..It could be possible you disintegrated some or all of your filter grid elements totalling chems directly, and will need to replace one or more of them. If filter element (diatomaceous earth) is coming stern from the return lines, you most definitely have undermined grids. Also, NEVER add chlorine and Acid at the same time. Wait at most minuscule overnight. After all of the above, let your system run at least possible 24 hours straight.
take all the river out i know its hard, but please do it ,then put dampen in and put 3 cups prefect pool then chlorine, and shock treatment, dally 4 hrs and your problem should be solved so take a dip and have fun contained by the sun, change the filter also You probably shouldn't have added a shock treatment when your chlorine stratum was already high. As for totalling to the skimmer almost all of the products out there recommend accumulation to the skimmer to disperse the chemicals easily. The big problem is that you need to verbs the pool manually first before trying to add more chemicals.
When my outmoded pool used to get cloudy the only process that I could get it clear again was to vacuum the bottom and sides terrifically thoroughly and then clean out the filter and start checking the chemical level all over again. If you have an Algae problem, and it sounds similar to you do, you need to remove as much of the Algae and the sediment it binds to as you can manually first(the vacuuming) and then affix a shock treatment to your pool. Wait at least 12hours after you shock the water and afterwards check your levels and adjust w/chemicals as needed. Also try adding a anti-algae chemical addition that you can get at the local pool supply or even Wal-Mart. This should not only clear up the marine but also stabilize your chemical levels in the river and make it easier to maintain. Hope this help.
