I'm having trouble with flooding within my basement following major rainstorm. The water seeps surrounded by through cracks in the joint where on earth the wall meets the floor and it continues to flow into the basement for days after the storm previously finally drying up. I have a brand new sump pump and the pump drain have been snaked and cleaned. I know next to nil about basements and drain systems and don't know where to walk for help. I've talked beside several people but am getting overwhelmed by all the conflicting direction. Any suggestions for where I can turn for reliable advice?
Answers:    I cogitate u live in a hill side. I hold customers tell me that water is traveling thru their crawl space and they verbs about the foundation collapsing. Believe it or not...when it rains, the sea that seep into the earth will desire the lower grounds.
It will go thru any crevices. The only path to keep the water out is to divert it. U must verbs all around the house and must seal the concrete foundations and the walls of ur vault. They have tar sealers contained by a roll that u can apply to water proof the walls and guide the water away from the subterranean vault. Seems like a big task...It is.
you will get hold of all sorts of answers I suggest the cheapest way first roll plastic along the spot where on earth the water comes in next put atleast 8-12 inches of soil on top so the water will run away from your home also direct your down spouts away from your home plastic tubing is cheap 100 ft at home depot around $50.00or less the primary thing is to get as much sea away from the home as quick as possible if this dont work then you could verbs about 10 inch trench along foundation and install black plastic pipe with holes rock below... large co. will try to sell you $10.000 drain $$$$$$$$$$ try this first
