Subzero 550 1989 freezer not cooling. 2 condensors put within, both wouldnt work. immediately call for evap. Repair? replace? Repairman gives up. Says buy strange fridge. Freezer doesnt cool....
Repairman gives up. Says buy strange fridge. Freezer doesnt cool. He installed two freezer condensors .. 1st didn't work, 2nd didnt work. He says its presently the evaporator as well. due to grease in the line(?). Advises me to replace next to new fridge resourceful is almost 20 years old (1989). Planning on selling house and don't want to sink $$ into unusual fridge but repair is costly and repairman warns that condensor for fridge is subsequent to go. Comments?

Make sure the right freon is within it, 1989 I think still used R12, Sometimes the cylinoid contained by the line go out or the expansion valve. Check the cylinoid next to a electrical tester. If the compressor itself runs then put your mitt over the expansion valve and be aware of if it gets cold on one side. You could hold air surrounded by the line and will own to put a vacuum pump on it to remove the air and replace it beside the correct freon.
