Stuck Window, please oblige? this is just a run of the mill every day house...
this is just a run of the mill every day house glass that hasnt been open in years and painted over. i've gone around the top and sides several times to craft sure all the paint stamp is broken. the window itself appears to be lose presently but it will not budge. i've gone around the whole fanlight with a tack hammer to knock it loose but no luck, any suggestions?
Answers: Paint stripper. There is still paint that seeped below the window.
double check for nail, staples and anything else that might be wedged contained by there. use a small prybar and practically work at the bottom corners of the window to loosen them up. the isue is probably that the pane is not centered anymore. Also, save in mind that the counter-weights may hold been removed which will form opening that porthole that much more difficult; just preserve at it very obligingly.
