Strong smell coming from halogen space heater (UK)? I have a moment ago started using my small halogen heater again...

I have a moment ago started using my small halogen heater again after around a year and i noticed that when its be on for a bit there is a strong smell coming from it, a bit close to solvent (bit llike paint or oil). Does anyone know what this could be? Is it broken? Should I stop using it?

Answers:    I would stop using it any smell coming from your heater that smells close to chemicals can be dangerous I would enjoy it get looked at to receive sure its not dangerous. better to be past the worst then sorry.
