I put clothes int he dryer and after 10 minutes the dryer was making a odd noise and smelled resembling a burning belt or something...what could it be? if it is the belt, how can i get to it?
it is a ge spacemaker model
Answers:    Well, it does nouns like a burning belt. These belts are to some extent long and they go around the entire dryer drum. Usually they can be replaced from the front by removing the front of the dryer. Something could be making the belt slip and i.e. why it smells like it's burning. Probably slipping on the motor pulley. Is something cause the drum to turn hard? I don't recommend taking it apart unless you enjoy common ease of such repairs and you trust in your ability.
it could be a build up of lint this happened to mine and it started a fire...I would try to verbs it out or open it up to gross sure there is no fire.
