I've received advise to screw the floor beside screws and that should stop the squeaks... this be done, but the floor stills squeaks... what is my next substitute to fix this problem, I am thinking of selling and trying to fix the place up, please help.
Answers: if the floor still squeaks after anyone screwed down tightly
the floor joist is cracked along the length and to fix that you will need to know how to get to the underneath side of the floor
ceiling sheet rock is cheap and easy to replace
locate the desperate area cut unscrew the ceiling find the bad joist or joist and nail unsullied ones right to the side of the old ones
earlier you slide them into place use liquid nail and glue the top turn-up to the under side of the floor
next you can put the ceiling back within and rest easy knowing it wont ever squeak again
dont roll with laughter i read it in a magazine. win a turkey baster put baby powder within it then squirt contained by the spaces between the floorboards, stair ways. (any openings) good luck!
