I have a radial circuit powering my downstairs sockets. Can I run a spur from this circuit via a intersection box in the cable or do I enjoy to run it from an existing socket?
Answers: simple answer.
get a constituent p registered electrician in to do the undertaking, It is illegal for anyone who is not qualified to do such works.
but if you do insist on doing it yourself, later it depends on what else is running from that radial already, is it in a kitchen if so it may own large appliances running from it so it may be at or close its maximum demand.
is the cable size right (4mm) etc.
in attendance are so many factor to take into consideration, that is to say why we sparkies study for bloomin ages, never stop learning and shell out sh1t loads on special equipment to clear sure what we are going to touch, install and test is safe and sound.
Its not just a grip of lobbing in a bit of 2.5mm t+e into the backbone of an existing socket, or juctionbox. lot more to it than a lot of general public think.
it you own any value on you and your family's sanctuary then I suggest a sparky.
cheers and honourable luck
