Spa, Hot Tub not insulated resourcefully? I have a "lower end" spa that sits out on my outside...
I have a "lower end" spa that sits out on my outside deck. It seem to have enormously little insulation because during our "harsh" Fall and Winter season down here in Louisiana (lol) the spa a moment ago can't seem to hold the warmth long. It always kick on and cycles to bring the temp back up to somewhere I have it set. I use to hold a Colman spa and I do not remember the heat fluctuating like this! I know you obtain what you pay for, I own a DreamMaker portable 6 person spa. When I isolated the water out and tip it up I do not see a whole lot of insulating materials. I am tempt to go to Home Depot and by that expanding foam and spray that stuff adjectives underneath up along the underside of the tub to give it some insulating properties. I can return with way up surrounded by there so I could cover profoundly of area doing this, I really don't nurture what the underside looks like as long as my hose down temp holds better. Also, I do have a standard cover but be thinking about getting a floating blanket also.HELP?
Answers: Dream architect is a very poorly insulated spa. You can use a soray foam and we do but fashion sure your prepared for the diggin out of the foam when the day comes that their epoxy resin fails and the plumbing starts to escape in places. I reason it is well worth doing and we do it habitually to a lot of hot tubs. It also make it harder for snakes to live under your spa. Do sign out room around yout pump and spa pack for it to be worked on in the adjectives. Also make sure you concrete wire that tub. I hold seen greatly of melted GFI cords from that company near the plug in cords. As far as the blanket, that will pretty much be a throw away of money.
