I have a 8.5hp 27" Yard King Snowblower (Murray)
It is topical. I haven't broken the auger sheer pins yet, but I save breaking the wheel drive shaft one (3 times) The brochure only mentions the auger ones. The controls drive pin is identical surrounded by everyway. It handles adjectives thru the snow with effortlessness (I have have 4 major storms surrounded by about one week respectively well over 6 inches+) WOULD ANYONE RECCOMMEND stronger bolts? -like who care if they are stronger, the worse that could happen as the wheel spin in the snow. Why do they hold breaking easier than the auger ones that everybody else seems to replace more repeatedly? They are 1/4"20x steel with a zinc coating and basically over 2" long. Any suggestions?
Answers:    If I may add a thought here for you. Shear pins are designed and built within to protect a part from severe defile if it gets overstressed. I cant right to be heard why you steering pin is shearing, but if you replace it with a legal bolt/nut combo, whatever force is breaking the shear pin will in a minute tear up the reins drive. You mention this is a new blower. I would suggest contacting any the seller or the businesswoman ( or both) to pick their brains as to what excessive pressures are causing this. One more article also.,,,,, replacing a shear pin with a bolt will more than imagined void your warrenty when they see the wounded it does. I hope this helps you.
I don't see why not. As long as you can still draw from them in & out near ease.
If you're still grilling it, contact a dealer or repair shop & ask them.

-I'm tired of adjectives the snow too!!! (Wisconsin) Plus now it's COLD!!!
