Answers:    Besides the length you hold to know how it mounts. There are a few different styles. Sears uses a star, but most use a single hole in the center. Some also use a bolt in the center next to two other bolts on either side. Check out your blade and find one that matches.

WHY? You run a risk of getting a low competence blade. About a year ago, a third party manufacturer have a recall on their blades for Snapper because they would fall apart.
