First of all, Let me influence it is not the battery or dust! 2 weeks ago we be awakend in the middle of the darkness by the smoke alarm with it's constant beep. Checked all the rooms, the underground store where the furnace is located, the attic, walk around outside. Nothing! We fanned it and it stopped. Few minutes following is started again. I thought maybe it be because the house was melt and the furnace turned on. We cut the furnace down. It happened again, but back the house cooled off some. We took it down cleaned it and put a tentative battery contained by it. Darn if it didnt do it again. Then as fast as it started it quit . The subsequent day I bought a First alert smoke, fire, and carbon detector( the mature one was not for carbon). It's be up since. Last night at 4 a.m. It beep about 6 or 8 times and say fire , fire, then stops. 5 minutes subsequent it does it again. After the usual routine.We found nothing ,it quit. I run my hand up the cool wall, it beep at me just one time and quits the rest of the nite

Answers:    It's your electrical system. My parents had duplicate thing. They undo the smoke detector and brought it into the hardware store to be tested. It was fine. It turned out to be the wires surrounded by the house. They had to hold a electrician re-install new wires.
