so we moved our smoke detector out of the kitchen a long time ago because it kept going off no concern what we cooked. Now the battery is low and it keep beeping every single minute but none of us can find it or remember where on earth we put it! it has be doing this for about 4 days immediately, does anybody have any conception how much longer this will go on past the battery finally dies and the little monster is silenced?
Answers: As it is chirping on a frequent basis, wipe out all other din (turn off the TV or radio, distribute everyone else out) so it is quiet, and listen, following the chirps until you locate it. Then adapt the battery and install the part, if not within its original location, surrounded by a place where it will still alert you.
You should own a smoke detector in respectively bedroom, but at least contained by the immediate nouns of the bedrooms. Check and change the battery at least once a year, tweaking at Daylight Saving Time change is a righteous way to remember. The inconvenience of maintain smoke detectors is far outweighed by the possible injury or death due to fire.
