Slow draining by scrap disposal? the side if the sink by the garbage disposal is draining slow....

the side if the sink by the garbage disposal is draining slow. Will it ruin my rubbish disposal unit if i put some Drano into that side of the sink? the house is one and only 5 years old, and i enjoy tried putting egg shells, small bones, and ice down it to break it loose. That be reccomended by a garbage disposal repairman, but it didn't work. any suggestions would be great. Also I really don't be aware of like taking it adjectives apart, or hiring a plumber. thanks
