How often should you replace your sink garbage disposal? I've have mine for 10 months since I moved to a new home but it's starting to stink.

You are not running the water long adequate after using. Try running some lemon peels through it.

First time for everything, you replace it when it breaks down and not repairable. When using it, make sure you run cold water while operating. This is flushes the fritter away down and also cools the motor. Continue running the water for a short time after turning it bad. I also like to put ice and mine to relieve clean it. Not only does it go and get rid of old ice contained by the icemaker it helps keep the disposer verbs.

It should not need to be replaced unless it breaks down. Are you using plenty of water to flush it out respectively and every time you use it? This is the number one problem we find with garbage disposal unit - people do not run enough marine while using it, or they try to put too much in at one time.
