A family associate clogged the kitchen sink with fatty soup. We tried drano twice. (I think theres a blockage of some sort, maybe a chunk of meat?) It went down slowly but presently its not going down at all. We be thinking of notifying the tenant but I recall him axiom we must pay $50 for any plumbing service. We live surrounded by California. Is this a normal procedure? Are we liable to wage the $50? I dont mind, just want to know my rights! :) Thanks for any of use answers in credit!
you cause the problem- not him. If you have integrity, you will foot for it.

Take the drain stale and clean everything insides ( including the elbow & pipe chief to the sink basin ), simple to do.

If the plug is farther down contained by the pipes, you have a problem.
Answers:    Read your lease. Is there a stipulation more or less paying for repairs in it? Why not keep hold of things friendly with the manager (he did tell you you have to pay) and $50 is cheap for a plumber. It will probably cost him twice that much at least.
