Morning everyone!I have a home that was built contained by 1957 that my husband and I have been working on (we only finished the electric). About 2 weeks ago, the shower in the master bathroom began singing when the hot marine is on. (On a side note, the hot water knob is really loose adjectives the sudden and I can't tighten it). We tried a new shower head, hot washers and nothing is working. The singing goes on for almost 3 minutes respectively time the water is turned on. A couple days ago, the shower began bang, like someone knocking on the door (boom, boom boom), which last about 3-5 seconds. We've tried the trick of running adjectives faucets at full blast to clear out air and draining out the sinks at the valves. It's the individual plumbing we have in the entire house that have a problem, and that includes the bathroom sink that is less later 3 feet from the hot water knob. It's the bathroom furthest away from the fundamental shut off. As me about drywall or tile and I can answer query after question ... but I'm at the end of my plumbing expertise. The bathroom is tile, so I want to exhaust every likelihood before I start ripping the walls apart. Before I call contained by the professionals, can someone give me a suggestion? Thanks!
Answers: Girly Here!, I think than bang is called "tap or pipe hammer" you can win a ""tap, pipe hammer guard" at the local hardware, it;s a grotesque brass torpedo looking thing that you put on after your hot water system and back everything else, it eliminates the 'clunk' when you turn the old tap on and off, hopefully will fix your shower, as for the singing, it could be a poltergeist!, nah, just antediluvian plumbing, turn the radio up louder, ..I left my heart,. in San Fran cisco.. da da da dee da da da dum...
