Shower problem sustain?!!? i have 3 knobs within the shower cold hot and the middle...

i have 3 knobs within the shower cold hot and the middle is to turn on the shower head up top.well the hose down comes out fine from the large faucet but when i try to turn on the shower head it will produce this crazy vibrating noise and no or minimal hose down comes out from the showerhead..what do i do?
