Last night nearby was a huge thunderstorm contained by my area. When the precipitation was coming down at its hardest, I hear dripping coming from the attic. Turns out water be coming in around the attic enthusiast. Do I need to phone call a roofer or will a handyman be able to do something? I've lived contained by this house for two years and have never have a water problem. The roof itself is nearly 5-7 years old.
Answers: Before you call for anyone, ask yourself a few questions. Was it stormy while raining, was it a heavily built down pour? What has probably occured, be that when it was raining, the rainfall was one blown sideways/horizontal. When it rains resembling this, it can cause a overrun where you typically would not have a problem, resembling wall vents, window and roof flashing's. You can check (if you know what to look for) the area around the aficionado yourself. While looking at it, ask yourself "could the wind enjoy caused this drip, did it seep in a run of the mill (heavy rain w/ no wind) rainfall. If it was single a slight drip in a unhealthy windy storm, I would bet this is what happen. You can also go up contained by the attic, look around the vent fan itself and see if you can see signs of where on earth the water enter. BE THE WATER.
I agree with rrspiker. I guess it depends upon the individual you hold as your handyman but I know my handyman could do that job so yours may also.
