SHould I be checking my thermostat? I dont know what sort of system it was thats be in...
I dont know what sort of system it was thats be in the communication about the little newborn girl killed by the hot dampen tank but I enjoy a boiler that provides hot water on emergency so when I switch on the water I dally a few seconds and consequently the hot water comes. I also enjoy the council come round anually (or is it six monthly) to do a service check. Is there anything else I should be doing?
My system is in the region of 10 years old I give attention to.
This can singular happen if you own a cold water cistern above your ceiling.
i think its an electric immersion stove in a copper cylinder.... it didnt switch bad and boiled over, exploding and flooding the house with boiling dampen.
I dont think it happen with combi/instant boilers...
Answers: Your system is not the type which boiled over, if you combi is at high stratum, be sure that you have one pipe going to outside, this is the safekeeping discharge, and if the boiler overheats or over pressurises, it will send hot dampen down this pipe.
