What is the specific way of shoring floor joist that are supported by a load carriage wall in writ to remove the wall?
Answers: Is this wall in the center of the house or an exterior wall? If it's an exterior wall, you build a 2x4 wall that fits TIGHTLY between the floor and ceiling explicitly no more than 2-3 feet from the outside wall. Then you can remove the outside wall and replace it near the new framing.
If it's the pose wall down the middle of the house, you will need to shore the ceiling on BOTH sides of the wall. Often floor joist from each side collect on the top of the bearing wall. Again, build a wall that fits tightly from floor to ceiling on respectively side of the wall. Remove the wall, install your header, being sure to use fair number of shoulders under respectively end, and when you hold it all nail you can remove the shores. Hope this helps.
Call an architect and a qualified contractor. This is no DIY commission. The area must be supported by a replacement span of a support sufficient size and strength.
