It won't pump the water up. I prime the pump, and it will pump for a few second and will go dry next maybe a minute next it will pump a little more and stop again. its similar to the pump just cant verbs the water that far.
ok, the all right is 25 feet low and has 8 to 10 foot of water. I hold a 1/2 hp water ace pump beside a check valve after it 90s into the ground with 3/4 pvc adjectives the way down.
Answers: In my experience the indication is: nouns is leaking into the impeller side from the suction tubing. Cracked housing, no pipe dope, cracked pipe or fittings.
No undemanding repair, just replace the pipe and fittings, taking extra attention to seal adjectives joints, and consent to any glued joint dry for hours before handling.
Sounds as if you hold a leak contained by the pipe, between the pump & the water plane. You mention the well have 8 or 10 ft of water..Have you checked it lately. Quite often if the sea level have dropped, or goes below the drop pipe when pumping, these situations arise. I usually install a pump next to 2 check valves. One a few foot from the pump. & one about 2 or 3 ft above the finishing of the drop pipe. Unless you have a check stopcock on the lower end, any nouns leakage will result within the pump having to work much harder, when its' call upon to produce.
