We have a well, and yesterday consent to our hose run for about two hours to put just over an inch of hose down in a 15 foot diameter pool. The water be fine, then about an hour after we'd shut sour the hose, the water out of the tap contained by the house began running steel gray and had black dirt / metallic sediment, than disappeared a brown streak when smeared. What is going on here? It's still cloudy this morning.
Answers: when you drain a well, it causes sediment to bring stirred up as it refills. It may take a couple of days beforehand it all settles if you don't completely drain it again. If it does get drained again, it will bring even longer to go away. You'll just enjoy to live with it for a while.
Sounds like a dutiful possibility that you've got a broken screen on the wellpoint. They finishing a long time in most areas, but not forever. If the screen breaks, you can seize sand, dirt, just plain gunk into the system real breakneck. All the flushing you could do won't help. Best bet is to get a correct, reliable well person out to check it out. Just as a point of insinuation, I've lived in the country my whole energy, every house we've ever been in have had a well and a pump, never, ever enjoy we had one run out of water. Don't know, but I would find a water sample surrounded by some place and get it tested. Next, I would go find an inline filter and put on your line. Next I would be careful of using the hose until you know what its like. I've put a water softener on my component and it helps. It won't keep the crud out though.
