Does anyone have an actual experience contained by using a salt-free unit? Is it better than a saline brine water softner? What is your opinionplease?
Answers: A saline free water softener is a softener that uses Potassium chloride instead of Sodium Chloride (salt) to regenerate the ion exchange resin. The style a softener works is that it removes water solidity (Calcium and Magnesium) from the water and exchanges it for a Sodium ion or contained by the case of using Potassium for a Potassium ion. Sodium and Potassium are much more soluble contained by water than Calcium and Magnesium and will not form strong scale deposits within pipes, water heaters, etc. Soft marine also requires less soap surrounded by order to form suds.
The crucial reason for using Potassium to regenerate the softener resin is for folks who cannot tolerate high level of sodium or for people who a short time ago don't want extra sodium in the marine or for reducing the amount of sodium in a septic system. Potassium is more expensive to use than sodium and i.e. the only leading drawback. In most areas Potassium Chloride is about twice as expensive as Sodium Chloride, although neither are really that expensive.

If they really worked they would not sell ion exchange softeners. They claim to break up the larger tricky water particle so the water does not discern hard. This sounds closely like the magnets that manufacture your car more fuel modernized. Nice that just does not work.
If you are concerned nearly more salt surrounded by your water after installing a cation exchange softener you can use potassium chloride instead of sodium chloride. Or resembling I did connect the water dispenser on your fridge to the hose line up to that time it goes to the softener. That instrument we and the house plants drink salt free marine.
