Ryobi circular saw blade change- which direction do you turn the bolt to loosen it?
Answers: If you look carefully at the blade, it will tighten the nut if it's loose and slips. Mentally picture this looking at the saw. So to loosen, run in indistinguishable direction as the teeth are pointing. This will be true regardless whether the blade is on the left or right side of the saw.
It depends on which type of saw. If it is a worm drive, nearby will be a small button on the front of the motor casing which will serve as a blade stop, and the bolt should be turned clockwise, to the right, which seem backwards. If it is not a worm drive, there is no blade stop and the bolt removes counter clockwise, to the vanished. Look closely at the bolt itself, they usually have an arrow indicating on or stale. A worm drive saw has the motor running alike direction as the blade. A regular power saw has the motor cross ways, so it is shorter but fatter. Worm drives are more powerful and usually used by construction crews. Good luck, Jed.
