Rust and hole on above ground pool interview...? it's under the deck where the stepladder goes a pretty big hole...

it's under the deck where the stepladder goes a pretty big hole and a feel pin holes, i'm figure i could remove what rust i can then spray rustoleum paint on the part that i couldn't gain off, use one of those metal mesh patch things used for cars it has the sticky side and afterwards go over that with bondo.

my request for information is will the pool liner to have a reaction to the bondo?
thx
Answers:    Sounds close to you have some good thinking.could you wait till the end of the season and drain your pool..acquire a pop rivet gun and some pieces of metal and go to work..if not is here a way to get some tin foil contained by between your metal and liner...I've had a couple of them.but never your problem sooooooooo.I would drain it.and fix it.if it were my kid...the tin foil thought is to stop the bondo heat...and chemical reaction...and it may stick to the liner...and I cogitate it would.If...it sticks to those cheap plastic Corvets:)lol.that ought to get me some points..the owner probably has one...and will boot me...bye and well brought-up luck
