When I flip the breaker to ON, the ac comes on, but the fan is at a less than conventional RPM. after about a minute, the fan completely shuts sour, while the pump continues to run. The pump gets louder and louder, and finally shuts off going on for a minute after the fans shuts off. Not one and only that, but the small coper tubing coming out of the black compressor is EXTREMELY hot. When water touches it, it evaporates in an instant. please abet. I live in Tucson, and even night time is hot here. Its 100 degree right now, and its 9pm.

HVAC Tech. Yes you can replace the fan motor with a total replacement . You will need to know these things to replace it, they will be on a label on the motor itself. SPEED surrounded by RPMs--Shaft size--Horsepower--Frame style --overall diminutions. Volts and direction of rotation. Buy a new capacitor with the hot motor.If you pull the old one out and pilfer it with you for a match up. The outside unit (condenser) needs that primary cooling enthusiast to dissipate all the heat removed from the inside element (evaporator). Without it, it will overheat and damage your compressor. I`m surprised it hasn`t tripped out sooner.

If you do not know how to replace that fan motor yourself, by adjectives means get an nouns condo tech to do it for you. It might be cheaper to hire an electrician. Check on motor and labor prices. Good Luck!
