I just bought a 10,000 btu kerosene electric fire. The salesman put it in my trunk for me. When I get home, I noticed the box said "reconditioned". That be never mentioned or told to me, and it didnt' say reconditioned on the floor model. I go ahead and put some kerosene in the reservoir, and let it set. Then I started looking online and I found alike heater for $109 at lowes and I compensated $169 for a reconditioned one! So, I drained the kerosene out, and have set it outside to evaporate. How long will I hold to wait until it's ok to put the container back within and return it to the store?
Answers: $169 is a lot for a 10,000 btu kerosene electric fire. I just bought a 23,000 btu one at Walmart for $129. Most stores enjoy at least a 7 to 30 light of day return policy, it shouldn't matter if you put kerosene contained by it already as long as you drained it. Just tell them that you are not comfortable with it. Most stores pocket returns without cross-examine as long as you have the receiving and less after 7 days have elapsed. Walmart (in the U.S.) give people 90 days to return an item.
If you budge elsewhere for a kerosene heater, do some price comparisons. A 10,000 btu should cost lately below $100 and I also suggest going to a reputable retailer.
Good luck to you.
if the tank be drained i would just clutch it back and bring up to date them you are not satisfied.
