Never had an electric stove previously...so one of the burners, when I opened up the top, simply fell apart...the contraption that connects the wires to the connector that the element plugs into...so, I am wondering...can I fix that myself? Any more difficult than electrical system a lamp, which I can do? Or is it best to own an electrical person do that? Figure I might replace another one as capably...dont really want to fry myself...thanks!
Answers: You can Handel this if you can cable a lamp. Start by massacre power. If wire insulation is OK and long adequate just replace the finish terminals and put them rear on the element. If the thing screws are desperate go ahead and replace it too. There is a element number on the element some place unless it "cooked off" when the item went discouraging. If this happened you can pocket it to the appliance parts store and your range model number and most credible they will have a replacement.
If your electric wiring insulation is bad narrate the appliance parts person you want some span wire to rewire the item range. It will be the correct size and It have special silicone insulation and is made for high heat. If the wire have to be replaced all course back to the switch run spanking new wire as close to possible to the route the frail was so it wont hold hot spots, kinks, and be sensible in length.

Very simply. a do it yourself project. The same bearing you disassemble it you put it back close to you said as simply as wiring a light . Just make sure you unplug the stove from adjectives its power source.
