A friend accidentally burnished the topcoat of my Formica counter top while rubbing out a stain. There is no color change, simply a dull patch.

What can I apply to this patch to restore the shine?

Answers:    try Future Floor Wax ..(don't laugh, it works :) ... we hold old soon to be replaced counters surrounded by the main tub & didn't want to do anything expensive, but the dull marks looked awful. I figure if it worked good on floors why not? ... put 2-3 restricted coats on, letting it dry well between respectively application. It won't stand up to using abrasive cleansers, but does fine using spray cleaners similar to windex etc. and Mr Clean.
I've redone them I don`t know 3 times in the ending 2years, and that's with 3 kids using the bathroom. (worked apposite on the kitchen counters before the kitchen reno .. i other use cutting boards so nearby was no contact of food beside the wax)
What does error code E4A on my Frigidaire...
Go to the mfg website & see what they say. There is zilch you can do to repair the coating that makes it shine unless you findout what the mfg coats it beside. You could try floor wax & things like that but they will one and only work for awhile.
