I have rust on my shower curtain rod that may be coming from the actual curtain hanger and not the rod because the rod's supposed to be rust proof.

What is the best way to attain rid of the rust to bring back the chrome shine?

Answers:    I know you wont approaching this answer, but the rust has come THROUGH the chrome. If you remove the rust, you will own a dull and pitted finish. If you really want it to look it's best, you will have to replace the parts that rusted. I hope this help you.
