Removal of metallic paint? Some nice kind so and so have sprayed grafitti on the door...

Some nice kind so and so have sprayed grafitti on the door of the communal entrance to my flat, the paint is hard and metallic, i surmise some kind of vehicle paint and they have sprayed across both the chalice and the metal part of the door.

I own reported it to the local council who are supposed to deal next to this sort of thing, which obviously they haven't!

Can anyone recommend something to remove it with, possibly somthing i might already hold at home (i tried bleach on the off accidental - it didn't work!) or something cheap and easily findable at a local supermarket, DIY store or similar.

Nitromors will shift it....but it will take the other paint rotten as well.

Paint stripper will shift it but may ruin the metal frame - check the instructions.

A pallet spear will also do it.
