We bought a refrigerator from someone back contained by September and it worked fine until recently. Almost everytime I unambiguous the door I notice that the freezer have leaked hose into the fridge. And even though the freezer stays cold and keeps things frozen, it doesnt freeze from the inauguration. I bought ice cream. and it doesnt defrost but its soft, and I put three drinks and left them overnight but they be just cold the subsequent day, not frozen. I tried to turn the freezer up, but the knob be stuck, it didnt use to be stuck. Do you think to be precise just what the problem is? IT get turned down and stuck somehow and I just want to find a way to turn it up?
Answers: What have probably happened is the defrost timer have gone bad allowing the coils to freeze up. The knob one stuck MIGHT be the answer, but normally even the warmest setting on the freezer will in actuality freeze things. It's a heckuva thing to try to fix yourself BUT the division (depending on the brand and model) is still cheaper than a new fridge. There are a few "how to" sites on the net near great tests for elementary diagnosis. Just do a search for defrost timer and see what you acquire. Good luck!
