I have a maytag side by side refridgerator/freezer (MSD2556AE). The freezer works fine, but the fridge is lone about 50 degree. Can anyone offer any direction on what I need to do to fix it? I've be told it could be the defrost timer, but is there something else I obligation to check? I can't get a service technician for at least possible three days and need to fix it sooner than that.

Answers:    Most promising if you have not thaw it out, its frozen the pathways between the two. use a fuzz dryer or unplug it for at least a morning. Another thing it may be is sometimes nearby is a fan that pushes nouns from the freezer to the fridge, a lot of times rime will build up and stop the fan. Again, basically let it totally unthaw and plug it fund in. If you enjoy a screw driver you might be able to pop of some of the inside panel between the two and get a biddable look and see if there is an rime blockage. Just because you dont see the ice, does not indicate it does not exist inside and between the two.
