Recommended Exterior Paint Brand? I live in southern Seattle, where on earth moisture is a concern...
I live in southern Seattle, where on earth moisture is a concern and it sometimes snows. My house has cedar siding surrounded by good condition and I will be stripping sour the old paint. I don't mind the extra try of oil-based if that would be better than latex. I just want something kick-*** and durable and hose and mildew resistant so I don't have to verbs so much when it's been raining for several days unremitting.
Is there a out of the ordinary brand of paint (or, more specifically, a brand's particular line) that you would recommend? Oil or Latex?
I live contained by Florida, and although we are on different sides of the country we have 1 point in adjectives.....Rain. Moisture is a big concern here & there. I not long hired a very right painting contractor who transplanted here from upstate NY., and during our conversations I asked him "hand down what's the best paint to use?". His response was this. " I ONLY use any Valspar paint (Lowes Brand), or Sherman Williams". I ultamately chose Valspar latex, and couldn't be happier with the result. Hope this help
Behr is a good brand and suppsosedly have anti mildew "stuff" mixed in beside it.
If you use oil base you will have to other use oil base. If you use latex you could always paint over next to oil base later.
Answers: patently an oil base enamel. perhaps weather-beater by sear, also behr makes a pious paint....I would use an oil base paint thought, for the durability
