Question nearly thrown breaker? I do not know much about electricity so naked with me...Early this...

I do not know much about electricity so naked with me...Early this morning i have a breaker thrown. I recently have another family accomplice move in surrounded by a room not used within a while and thought maybe adjectives of her things plugged in could be the explanation but nothing contained by the house is off. i checked adjectives the plug-ins for power, all appliances, lights, cieling fan, etc. EVERYTHING is working. It is thrown to the tripped position and i have tried to reset it but instantly throws pay for. I turned it to the off position and vanished it. I called the electrician and he said it would be Wed. up to that time he could get nearby. Am i looking at any immediate problems? I enjoy power on everything. Would leaving that specific breaker off be past the worst? I don't want to start a fire.
Answers:    Leaving it off is definately protected. That means no electricity is getting to anything that operate from that breaker. So don't worry. If you've checked everything afterwards leave it stale for now. Then when you want to use an item or an outlet and it doesn't work after turn on the breaker and hope it will reset.

One reason why it won't reset could be that the breaker is doomed to failure. They do wear out. You might try replacing this. You don't need an electrician for this. All you do is turn bad power on the main breaker. It will be speckled as such. This turns off ALL power. Then basically pull the antiquated breaker out and push the new one contained by. Make sure you get one that's like peas in a pod amp rating. (This is also listed on the breaker.)

Before you do the above you might want to check the bathrooms to see if the "ground show disapproval circuit interupter" is tripped. If it is tripped reset. Not all outlets hold them but they are the outlets with rather red button in the middle. Quite honestly I don't know if this could explanation your problem or not but it won't hurt to check them.
Leaving it off is without a flaw safe. when you tried to reset it, did you turn it rotten and then on? if you did not next it will not come back on. it could exceedingly well torn past its sell-by date absolutely nil. especially if you live in an elder house. your best bet is to have the electrician look at it though
