Question around my Air/Heating component......? I have inner air (i reflect on that right), well its one...
I have inner air (i reflect on that right), well its one component outside that controls both air and roast. Anyways, I have be using the air,but its time to start using rather heat (I enjoy a 3y/o). So I want to turn on the heat. Now I remember 2 winters ago, that I have been running the warmth all winter, but the outside section was overed next to ice. Now this local handyman saw it and pulled the tap from the socket on the outside. He told me to keep it out until I want to run the heavens again and put it back. And I did and have no problems. But last winter, I used floor heaters majority of the time, so I cant remember if I took that stopcock out or not. Now, its getting cold again and I want to use the heat.
Now do I own to take out that stopcock from the outside socket? Its an old section. Its a duplex condo that were built fund in the 1980's, if that help any.
Thanks so much.....
Answers: That "handyman" didn't help you. He shut sour the heat pump and have you using only the backup electric roast. Turn the unit wager on on and see if it works properly. If you have problems, check out the bake pump page at www.hvac-for-beginners.com. You will find a step by step troubleshooting guide to help you.
do you enjoy emergency heat switch on your thermostat ? if so you hold a heat pump that disconnect should be plugged contained by at all times otherwize your running your fry strips its cheaper to use it in h/p mode sounds approaching you were iced up you might be low on refrgerant
