Question give or take a few Hot Water Heater? we have a slow filter from the fittings on the top of...

we have a slow filter from the fittings on the top of our hot water cistern. We bought our house 3 years ago and the tank does not look ripened but the fittings do. We turned the water bad running to it. Can the fittings be changed or will we need a topical tank. Or is in attendance something we can use to stop the leak around the fittings....Any help out appreciated.

Answers:    Your leak is probably cause by a galvanic reaction because near are no dialectric unions installed. Replace your current nipples beside new ones contained by the link. Make sure you wrap them next to at least 3 wraps of teflon cassette. Tighten them snugly but don't over do it.

Demolition Cost?
Remove the fitting and clean them up on a rope wheel or replace them. Buy pipe dope or Teflon cassette and install the cleaned or replaced fittings.
