Question? anyone know?

So i looked in the toilet container, and the black ball point is missing, whats it do? do i need to draw from a new one? whats the purpose of it? is it supposed to be here or what/

Answers:    The large black orb on the metal arm?? Where did it go? It can't a moment ago disappear? Sometimes they can unscrew off the metal rod.. Screw it vertebrae on, it is a float - when the water height rises , it shuts off the sea. When you flush, the ball drops, turns on the wet to fill the container again, etc...

Yes, some toilets don't enjoy the normal orb float - look at the second picture here - the black collar on the left around the tube is the float and spigot all contained by one.
