My mom's basement recently flooded and presently she wants me to remove part of her hearth rug. She claims that the only tool I'll need is a blade knife. It's basically of late a carpet laid over the cement basement floor. I don't know whether the installer attached it to the floor next to an adhesive substance of some sort. I doubt it, personally. I enjoy to remove the section of the carpet that is to say soaked. So, will a razor knife suffice? Or, do I requirement a stronger cutting implement?
Answers:    Razor knife will work fine. If you own a long board or strip of wood you will get a straighter line if needed. Be watchful with the razor stick.
since carpet on concrete cannot use tack strips, it is probably glued down. even if the glue's hold ruined with the water hurt, you will still have to remove it before lay more carpet. use a scrapper for that.
