Question About The Pressure Release Valve On my Pressure Cooker...? The valave on my pressure cooker keeps allowing steam out during cooking,...
The valave on my pressure cooker keeps allowing steam out during cooking, the instrucion booklet say nothing nearly this and I was wondering, is this ordinary?
Also, When I use the "Rapid Release" function, steam and hot liquid spewed adjectives over my kitchen, I'm assuming this is not supposed to happen, so does anyone know how to prevent this or should I freshly return the cooker?
Answers: The pressure will build up in your cooker to the point you hold it set on then the excess pressure desires to be released or it will explode. Releasing the Rapid Release function--your pressure has be built up and yes, it is very regular for it to spew out when released. After you have cook for given amount of time--Please--let the cooker cool until that time doing anything--such as messing with any pressure release valves--let the pressure shrink due to cooling--then you can take the lid stale or release the valves. My momma get a very burned paw this way.
I chew over it is working correctly. It had pressure which you released and by allowing steam to escape it won't explode within your face due to too much pressure. Be meticulous with it, My brother and I experimented beside one as kids and it wasn't pretty.
