Alright, I bought some 4" and 2" PVC yesterday (both sch40) and a 4" to 2" reducer. When I got home and put it together, the 2" PVC fell out of the reducer even after I pounded it surrounded by. Also, the 2" to 1/2" brushing wont stay in the 2" coupler. Do I have need of to use PVC primer/cement to make it stop falling out/wiggling? I anticipate, the 2" PVC wiggles around terrifically noticably unless your holding it straight. I think I only just need to epoxy resin the reducer and coupler together to make it fine.
*When I say-so brushing and coupler, I mean the 2" coupler and 2" to 1/2" brushing... They are also adjectives the same sch too.
Answers:    PVC pipe and fittings are made to be glue together. They should fit snug though even without cement. I think someone sold you something excluding PVC for the coupling. Usually, you can not push the pipe all the course into the fitting until you apply the glue. It should not shake around.
It should all fit together not too snugly but not too sloppy any. And yes, you have to use the primer and cement. Dry-fit everything to be sure it is exactly right and later use the primer and glue.
