When putting plastic on windows to save out the cold/draft, should the plastic be touching the windows, or be a couple of inches away from the cup on the frame?
Answers: You could try a more permanent fix. Use clear silicone caulk on adjectives the seams and butt joint around the trim, and window itself.. I've done this to several homes beside great affect.
Away from the windows when the sun comes out the plastic will sweat somewhat
