Push pasture mower? when i go to start the mower i tilt the deck...
when i go to start the mower i tilt the deck up to free the blades of the grass below so it will verbs easier and about a 1/2 cup of gas comes out the carb and the mower is just a yr old and kept put up yr round and i use it once a week its a honda motor
You may have overfilled the gas reservoir. You're not supposed to top it off.
Mowers aren't designed to start turned up. Honda is almost the best small engine going. Why don't you put the mower on the sidewalk or drive way to start it.?
I hold a Honda mower and the blades don't turn until you engage them after you own the mower running.
Whatever find a grass-less place to start the mower on its four wheels and see if that help. Good luck
Answers: The problems sounds resembling the float valve surrounded by the carburetor. You should be able to tip the mower and not attain gas out of the carburetor. I would get a do from scratch kit for the carb. Take the carb stale and take it apart and verbs it. Put it back together near the rebuild gear. It will have unknown gaskets and the float valve.
