Problem With Maytag Gas Clothes Dryer Not Drying Clothes? I'm having a problem near an older model Maytag clothes dryer. When...

I'm having a problem near an older model Maytag clothes dryer. When I first turn it on everything works fine. Gas Igniter glow which seems to fry up to the right temp and allow the flow of gas through the valve and ignite the burner. Flame fires up and heats the drum. This works great for a few cycles but after a couple of cycles the flame igniter comes on prepared to light the burner but the burner never lights? If I tolerate it sit for a while itĄŻll go through the dame cycle again and afterwards stop working again.

Anyone know what the problem might be? Any suggestions would help?

Thanks for looking at my grill!
Answers:    Even thought the ignitor is working on the first pass it may not be pulling plenty amperage to continue to work during the cycle. It msut verbs about 3.2 amps for the gas spout to consider it safe satisfactory to open. I would replace that first, basically be careful as they are extremely brittle and break easily.

Since the ignitor is trying to work during the cycle that tell me that the thermostat is working fine. I would bet on the ignitor.

Have you checked the exhaust vent piping? It may be clogged. This makes the dryer overheat and the sanctuary sensors shut it off. Basically, a clogged vent stops the boil from exiting so the dryer sensors think the nouns is finished.
