My wife and I are looking into the possibility of purchasing a lakefront house about 20 miles from Seattle. It's current hose supply is the lake itself. While the sea is safe plenty to bathe contained by, drinking it or using it for food preparation is discouraged.
My wife has deal with cisterns and river delivery companies contained by the past. Is that an chance around metropolitan areas like Seattle? How do you even start researching that selection?
What other options are available? I could think about a setup with something resembling a large dampen tank next to an attached filter at the input. As the water drained from the container, it slowly refilled from the pond, filtering the wet as it did so (presumably with replaceable filters). Do such systems exist? Do they hold a name?
The house's foundation is roughly 40 foot above the lake, so in attendance must be some pump system in place. Would this hint an existing water reservoir near the house?
This is adjectives completely new to me. Thanks for any information!!
