Bought the house 2 years ago. Replace DE filter with Sand. Cover fell in this winter along near a big mess. Pump is very noisy, I go to vacuum and there was immediately flow. Worked good this past week. Not to sure what is wrong, kinda still modern to this. Any suggestions? we used flock too, the pool store said to add it and run filter 24 hrs. I shut off filter for a few hours and very soon this..

Our pool filter has another area where on earth there is a filter basket where on earth you twist off the top and verbs it out just like the picnic basket in the skimmer. That may be clogged full of junk nearly now.
Or, a problem we have seem like we have a loss of nouns suction in the lines somewhere between the pool and the filter. We started using the drain filter only and it works fine.
Have you done a "back-flush" to clear out the lines? That should push hose from the filter out the pipes to the sewer system. Talk to the guys at the pool supply place. They often know a lot roughly speaking equipment problems.
Answers: You said you were new to this, are you sure you enjoy your hose connected to your pump and filter correct, when you swapped out pump.
