I currently have a moen faucet set 3 piece set model 4570 within my bathroom.. My daughter being fearfull that she didn't want the faucet to drip has in a minute turned the cold lever all the way put a bet on until now the handle rotates minus shuting the water off. I believe I enjoy to replace the stem inside the handle but I can't remove it off the bottom of the sink. I can't loosen the locking nut underneath the sink either (even with trying to use mixing bowl wrench).. I saw the installation instructions online and from the diagram it shows I can acutally remove the hub from the top by holding the handle and twisting the hub if the opposite direction, but this item won't bulge. what should I do?

Answers:    unhook all the plumbing fron underneath. Take the whole sink rotten the vanity and tackle it that style. It is pretty tough sometimes to get the necessary leverage when trying to access everything from underneath. Might be a bit more labor intensive but it will really save you some busted knuckles and bruises on your head.

There should be aplastic cover that can pry out of the middle of the handle. Then remove the screw and life is good. I'll bet the inside of the switch broke.

now from my memory all moen faucets hold a retaining clip that you need to remove first before you appropriate out the stem.
