Plumbing problems? I am currently living in an apartment style condo, second floor, that...

I am currently living in an apartment style condo, second floor, that seems to be full of shoddy workmanship and cut corners. It is with the sole purpose two years old, and we are on our second plumbing problem. First, the day we plugged surrounded by our washer we had flooding, and today my downstairs neighbor woke me to tell me something from my place is leak in to her place. I can't find a drop of water not supposed to be nearby up here so it's not like I let my toilet overflow adjectives night. Is it maybe something that be wrong when they built this place, or does this sort of thing really happen after two years even when things are done right?

P.S. Sorry if I seem to be snippy, I'm trying to be nice, but being woken after 3 hours of sleep and knowing I can't take a shower, do dishes or laundry, is making me a touch testy.
"adjectives areas" are not your responsibility. If nothing of yours is leaking, it is up to the "wet" condo owner to carry the condo association to get in between the floors to determine the produce. I go with Ray. It seem the condo owner has the problems. Its not your fault if the overrun is between floors or wall. Looks like a really really shoddy workmanship.

If you own the place you have a problem. If you are a renter, the landlord have a problem. Why do you worry about what someone is motto if you are renting the place. No one can make you stop using your own water.
I would see a delivery of people though on this one, the attorney generals people, your lawyer to find out your rights, your minister to pray over the situation and comfort your neighbor, and the list goes on. Good luck How ancient is the unit.A lot of apartments were turned into condo.s by only just replaceing the carpet and a little paint. If the leach is in the bathroom and it isn't easily found(ie comes and go's) its a drain or drain over flow problem .
Answers:    The first item to do is call the landlord.

I'm not sure by what you be a sign of by the first day you plugged your washer in you have flooding. Did the water come from the supply lines the drain or the machine itself. All intensely different unrelated problems.

The first thing to know is where the sea is leaking downstairs. It will help isolate the problem. If it is the bathroom and you haven' t used any of the fixtures afterwards it be wise to guess their is a supply line overrun. If you recently used a fixture then it is more than credible a drain-waste-vent (DWV) problem. Once again neither is probably anything you can do anything about, but, if you can isolate it, you have more information to report your landlord. Also once isolated you will know what fixtures you are able to use.

On a cheery transcribe, the landlord should take strictness of the problem quickly as it does constitute a health problem... not the most minuscule which mold will grow on damp wood and drywall.

But I think your indisputable question is. Why does it happen within a new building:

Even under the best circumstance things sometimes run wrong. While it is very unusual a skilled plumber could mess-up so badly, it is not impossible. In some jurisdiction there are plumbing codes that require all pipes (supply and DWV) to be nouns checked to determine there are no leaks. I don't know what the codes are for your community as respectively are different.

You might tell the landlord that you will stay contained by a motel for a couple nights till the problem is fixed and will take it out of your rent. But check next to an attorney first.
