i'm redoing a pvc hose down line and have problems with seal off. the primer and paste are not new i don't know how hoary but the cans are rusted on top. can the paste go bleak after a while? i've worked with pvc alot and never have any problems until now.
Answers: pvc gum can go unpromising but don't call the cleaner cleaner. the proper product is primer! primer removes the smoothness of the current pipe and opens it's pores if you will. it is a chemical primer to prepare the surface for the epoxy resin, not to "clean it". associates,(even stupid plumbers) think it is cleaner, and sometimes don't "clean" the surface of alien pipes. It is a needed chemical reaction. some states certainly require a colored primer so that the inspector will know it was surrounded by fact used. The primer more than the epoxy resin can evaporate it's usefulness so get both. no big business
I have be told that the glue will step bad..What class of cleaner are you using? I understand they hold a different cleaner out now..You might want to check it out..Thats something like all I can set aside you at this time.
